Grant Permission for Attendees to Annotate
Q. Are there any limitations on the Jigsaw Presentation Uploads or Conversions?
A. The following are new Jigsaw Presentation Upload/Conversion Limitations:
- Maximum File Size: 150 MB
- No Embedded Video
- No Embedded Audio
- For every minute of embedded audio/video, it takes one minute to convert.
There are a variety of tools accessible to Hosts and Co-Hosts in Pane 2.
- Display and annotate on Presentations
- Display and annotate Documents
- Use the Copy to Whiteboard feature to drop a screenshot onto the Group Whiteboard
- Use the laser pointer
- Use Screen share to application of desktop share
- Use Remote Access to control another computer
The Pane 2 menu will show Presentations, Documents, and Screen Sharing (if you have assets loaded for Presentations and Documents).
Please Note: If you are displaying Presentations, only Documents and Screen Sharing will appear in the Menu. If you are displaying Documents, only Presentations and Screen Sharing will appear.
Presentations
In Pane 2, the Host and Co-Hosts will have the option to
- Display Presentations
- Use the Laser Pointer
- Annotate on Presentations
- Save Annotated Presentations as PDF files
- Copy to Whiteboard as Image
- Copy to Whiteboard as Background
**NOTE: You cannot EMBED Videos (files, YouTube, etc.) into your Presentation. This can cause a Conversion Error after uploading. Please use Pane 1 (upload directly into your Asset Library) or use Screen Sharing to show videos during your session.
**NOTE: Having timed animations/transitions or a timed presentation can cause problems when presenting in a session, within Jigsaw.
Display Presentations
Under the Pane 2 menu icon, click Presentations.
If Presentations do not appear under Pane 2 menu icon, or to change Presentations, click the Down Arrow next to the menu icon and select Go to Presentations.
Click the Play button next to the Presentation to display.
Note: To release a Presentation for attendees to view on their own, click the box under the Released column.
The Host or Co-Host can view the presentation in Slide Show view by clicking the down arrow for the Presentations and clicking Show slide view.
The Host or Co-Host can Show Notes for the Presentation by clicking the down arrow for Presentations and clicking Show notes.
To move to the next slide, enter the slide number or move between slides using the right and left arrows.
You can use the slider control to Zoom in and Zoom out of the presentation.
The Host or Co-Host can use the "Maximize All" tool which moves all participants' attention to what is being displayed in Pane 2.
Use the Laser Pointer
To use the laser pointer on a Presentation, click the Laser Pointer icon in the bottom right of Pane 2 when the presentation is open.
Once enabled, click on the Presentation where you want the pointer to appear. The pointer will disappear when you let go of the mouse button.
Annotate Presentations
Click the Presentations menu (down arrow) and select Turn on Annotations to enable annotations.
With the annotations, the Host or Co-Host can annotate on the slides of the presentation. Permissions can also be granted for attendees to annotate.
Save Annotated Presentations as PDF Files
The Host and Co-Host can also save annotated presentations as PDF files to their computers. Attendees can do this as well once Annotation permission has been granted.
The Host or Co-Host can also choose to save the annotated presentation to the Asset Library. Go to the Presentation Menu and select Save to Asset Library.
Copy to Whiteboard as Image
When working with Presentations, the Host or Co-Host can copy a screen from the presentation to the Whiteboard as an image. This will allow attendees more options to collaborate.
To copy to the Whiteboard, click the Copy to Whiteboard as Image icon when the screen you want to copy is displayed in Pane 2.
The slide will appear as a copied image on the Whiteboard (Pane 4).
Copy to Whiteboard as Background
When working with Presentations, the Host or Co-Host can copy a screen from the presentation to the Whiteboard to appear as the background on the Whiteboard. This will allow attendees more options to collaborate.
To copy to the Whiteboard as a background, click the Copy to Whiteboard as Background icon when the screen you want to copy is displayed in Pane 2.
The slide will appear as a copied background on the Whiteboard (Pane 4).
Documents
In Pane 2, the Host and Co-Host will have the option to
- Display Documents
- Use the Laser Pointer
- Annotate on Documents
- Save Annotated Documents as PDF files
- Copy to Whiteboard as Image
- Copy to Whiteboard as Background
Display Documents
Under the Pane 2 menu icon, click Documents
If Documents do not appear under Pane 2 menu icon, or to change Documents, click the Down Arrow next to the menu icon and select Go to Documents.
Click the Play button next to the Document to display.
Note: To release a document for attendees to view on their own, check the box for that document under the Released column.
To move to the next page of the document, enter the page number or move between pages using the right and left arrows.
You can use the the slider control to Zoom in and Zoom out of the document.
The Host or Co-Host can use the "Maximize All" tool which move all participants attention to what is being displayed in Pane 2.

The Host and Co-Host can also save annotated documents as PDF files to their computers. Attendees can do this as well once Annotation permission has been granted.
The Host or Co-Host can also save annotated documents to their Asset Library. Click on the down arrow for Documents and select Save To Asset Library.
Copy to Whiteboard as Image (Documents)
When working with Documents, the Host or Co-Host can copy a page from the document to the Whiteboard as an image. This will allow attendees more options to collaborate.
To copy to the Whiteboard, click the Copy to Whiteboard as Image icon when the page you want to copy is displayed in Pane 2.
The page will appear as a copied image in the Whiteboard (Pane 4).
Copy to the Whiteboard as Background
When working with Documents, the Host or Co-Host can copy a page from the document to the Whiteboard to use as the background. This will allow attendees more options to collaborate.
To copy to the Whiteboard, click the Copy to Whiteboard as Background icon when the page you want to copy is displayed in Pane 2.
The page will appear as the background in the Whiteboard (Pane 4).
Grant Permission for Attendees to Annotate
Once annotations are turned on for a Presentation or a Document, a Host or Co-Host can grant Annotation permissions to one or all attendees.
To do this for all attendees, click the Global Attendee Options icon in the Attendee list and select Unlock Annotation.
To do this for individual attendees, click the Settings icon by their name and select Unlock Annotation.
Screen Share
The Host and Co-Host will be able to screen share their computer screens with attendees. The Host or Co-Host can also invite other attendees to share their screen.

Remote Access

This article will contain information on the Pane 2 tools available to Attendees.
Presentations
The attendee is able to view the presentations the host is sharing.
The user icon in the top-right corner can be used to "Maximize Me". This will make this pane full screen. Along the bottom, attendees can zoom in and out of the current slide and see what number slide they're on.
When unlocked, the attendee will have annotation tools that allows drawing, highlighting, and writing on the presentations.
The attendee can also download the presentations after marking to save for use later by clicking the Export button on the Annotations toolbar. This will download a copy of the presentation to the Attendee's computer.
Screen Sharing
This is what an attendee will see when a Host or Co-Host is sharing their screen.

Attendees can also share their screen if the Host or Co-Host grants Sharing Permissions.
Screen Sharing via Browser
It is possible to screen share in Jigsaw using only the browser (without installing the Jigsaw App). You will not have such functions as Remote Access, Copy/Paste in Pane 2 and Whiteboard, or Insert Screenshot from Pane 2 and Whiteboard. You will have the option to include Audio if using Chrome or Edge.
1. Choose Screen Sharing
2. Click on the white Start Sharing button in the Pane 2 title bar or the Start Sharing button inside the Pane 2 window.
3. Next, click the bullet next Browser Screen Sharing. This will allow you to share without having the Jigsaw App installed. Some tools will not be usable, such as Remote Access and Screen Capturing tools in Pane 2 and Whiteboard. Then click Continue.
4. Next, you will have options on what content to share:
- Entire Screen (Can share audio)
- Window
- Chrome Tab (Can share audio)
5. Click Share
6. To Stop Sharing, Click the Stop Sharing button in the Pane 2 Title Pane.
Documents
The attendee is able to view documents the Host is sharing.
